We believe that inspiring empathy in the audience for the men and women who are building our countries – while living far away from home – is a critical step towards realizing meaningful change for the rights of migrant workers all over the world.
We hope our film will contribute to people’s understanding of who the migrant workers are as individuals; empowering and motivating those who are already pushing for change to gather more support for their cause.
Our commitment to positive change extends beyond the duration of the film. We want to trigger meaningful conversations even after the credits roll. Not just about the men helping to build the stadiums and infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but also those who may be working down the road from you.
We want to spark conversations about the lives of migrant workers, rather than only the laws surrounding them. Ultimately we hope that if we can see them as individual humans rather than a group, that we can better imagine solutions.

outreach SCREENINGS/عروض توعوية
Outreach screenings and panel discussions with a facilitator, the filmmakers, the main characters and/or with experts in the field of migrant worker rights. To date the film team have helped organise over 100 such screenings all over the world; they are non-commercial screenings intended for groups and individuals who wish to engage with themes from The Workers Cup film.

The document envisions conversations in which people think more deeply about the issues in the film and reflect on them by sharing viewpoints and listening actively.
